Bliss Yoga
Once per week a yoga class is given at the Clinic (in Turku) from 7-9 pm. It is presently on Wednesday evenings. We have a small and comfortable, in-house yoga studio which accommodates a maximum of 10 persons.
The method taught is classic hatha yoga which means performing postures, asanas and stretches in a light and careful fashion assisted by proper breathing techniques and mental concentration. The goal is to relax the body, both physically and mentally, in order to improve the functioning of the spine, decrease stress and improve the body's physiological processes in general. A well-structured yoga program always improves the body's flexibility and energy levels and gives the pleasant bonus of relaxing the mind as well.
At present we have two yoga instructors- Fraser Bliss and Marion Salo, -both who work as health professionals at Bliss Clinic. They are naturally able to enhance their teaching of yoga with their knowledge of anatomy and their medical backgrounds.
